TUI fly’s Design Organisation (DOA) is responsible for the development of all Part-21 approved modifications for the TUI fleet across Europe (150 aircraft).

The DOA is part of TUI fly’s Engineering and Design department, responsible for the technical follow-up of TUI Belgium fleet, (the fleet currently consists of 34 aircraft: Boeing 767, Boeing 737MAX, Boeing 787, Boeing 737NG & Embraer 190) and the engineering center of excellence for the B737MAX fleet within the TUI Group. In view of our strong growth ambitions we are looking for new colleagues to reinforce the Engineering & Design department.

As Design Avionics you will be responsible for the execution of the Avionics related design projects (TUI DOA) and configuration and standardization control for all avionics related projects (TUI DOA and outsourced projects) on the TUI fleet (Boeing 737/757/767/787 and Embraer 190).

How you will make an impact
There are many ways for you to get involved:

  • Coordinate the execution of all avionics design projects in the TUI DOA.
  • Compile, supported by the Design Engineers, modification packages (design, compliance demonstration, certification and ICA documents)
  • Follow-up of implementation on aircraft, first article inspections, …
  • Act as Avionics Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) for the TUI DOA or grow into this position
  • Support creation of business cases for cabin modifications
  • Act as subject-matter expert for outsourced projects

 

What you will bring
There is more than one way to the perfect fit – here are some of the ideal things:

  • You have a bachelor or master degree in Aeronautics (or equal through experience)
  • You have excellent knowledge of Avionics systems
  • You have knowledge of EASA Part-21, Part-M and Part-145 regulations and CS25
  • You have 5-10 years’ experience in a similar position
  • You have excellent communication skills and can coordinate and manage a team
  • You are able to motivate your team members and make them grow
  • You are cost-conscious, proactive and accurate
  • You are independent, flexible and have a solution-oriented approach to work
  • You have an excellent command of the English language
  • You are open for travelling
  • Working in an international environment and with multi-cultural teams
